Ryan’s Ridiculously Simple Tajín Seasoned Cucumbers
Slice, shake and eat. Sometimes the simplest dishes are the most delicious. For seasoned cucumbers, you only need a cucumber and a bottle of Tajín Clásico Seasoning.
Why would I share a “recipe” with only two ingredients? Because up until my brother-in-law Ryan presented us with a plate of these lip-puckering seasoned cucumbers on our recent trip to Salt Lake City, I had never thought of sprinkling Tajín onto fresh vegetables. So maybe this is a new idea for you too.
As a matter of fact, Ryan is the one who introduced me to Tajín only a couple of years ago. He grilled chicken with the salty, limey, spicy seasoning and it was so good, I added a bottle to our spice cabinet as soon as we got home.
Ryan said he uses it on all kinds of food, like meats, vegetables and eggs. So although he’s a frequent DoorDash customer, when Ryan makes food at home, we know it will be memorably delicious.
Every time Jason and I visit Ryan and his wife, Brandee, they introduce us to new food or restaurants. We just got back from a trip out there to attend three concerts at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheater—Jason Aldean, Post Malone, and Def Leppard—all within 72 hours!
On this trip, in addition to Ryan’s seasoned cucumbers, Brandee recommended Ruth’s Diner where we enjoyed biscuits and gravy for breakfast with an outdoor table and view of Emigration Canyon.
And Ryan spontaneously DoorDashed Waffle Love—food we would fly back to Salt Lake City for. Which reminds me, Local Cookie Co. is on our SLC list as well thanks to Ryan and Brandee.
I hope you enjoy Ryan’s ridiculously simple seasoned cucumbers. Let me know what else you amp up the flavor with a sprinkle of Tajín. I’m thinking of adding it to my crunchy deli meat and cheese wraps.
Sweet wishes,
