Chocolate Chip Bars

The Rehkamps love these bars. With a short list of ingredients and no eggs, you might just eat the dough. Kristin's tip: use almond extract instead of vanilla.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract , or almond extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, semi-sweet or your favorite

Instructions
 

  • Heat oven to 350℉.
  • In bowl, combine first 6 ingredients. Blend well. Stir in chocolate chips. Press into ungreased 9x13 pan.
  • Bake 20-25 minutes. High altitude, no change.
